They can do the same, also while travelling to other cities/countries, using a password protected id. Magnetic sensors were installed on all windows and motion detectors-with-cameras were placed on walls opposite the main entry points. A gas detector was placed at the pantry as well. One hooter was placed inside the office and another facing the outside (to the streets). The control panel was placed at the main entrance and its remotes were handed over to the MD and the HR Manager. Since the system was completely wireless, there was no possibility of any vandalism affecting the communication system.
Four IR Dome Cameras (after adjusting the luminosity and angles) were installed at strategic locations like the main entrance, common area and the main office area. The cameras were connected to a four-channel Network DVR, with recoding facility for seven days. The monitor was placed at the HR Manager’s room. A bio-metric access control system rode on the existing LAN and helped to keep a log of all the timings of staff-movements in addition to providing a smooth and seamless entry.
Roving Eye installed the system in about a fortnight. It was tested and run to the satisfaction of the management. All wirings were concealed and the colours of the solution-enablers gelled well with the office walls. The CEO view the happenings of the office remotely on his laptop (via the internet), using a password protected id. Should there be any intrusion, the hooters will trigger and simultaneously, five pre-programmed numbers will be dialled out one-after-the-other. The motion detectors will only sense ‘human movement’ and therefore the possibility of ‘false’ alarm is nil. The management is impressed with the system and plans to extend the application to its other branch offices.
